In November 2024, Lemaire officially opened its Japanese flagship store, Lemaire Tokyo, nestled in the residential area of Ebisu, Tokyo, exuding tranquility and simplicity. Designed by Hashimura Studio, this new flagship store for the French brand transforms a 1960s two-story Japanese house into a retail space, shunning ostentatious decorations and flashy signage. Instead, lush pine trees peek over a white low wall, and the only indication of the store's presence is a modest white plaque with the Lemaire logo. One might easily walk past this house without realizing its significance.Unlike many luxury brands vying for exposure in high-profile, bustling districts like Ginza or Omotesando, Ebisu offers a blend of tradition and modernity that aligns perfectly with Lemaire's design philosophy: maintaining tension between restraint and possibility.

Named "Lemaire Tokyo," this two-story building becomes an immersive retail space, featuring dedicated sections for men's wear, accessories, and a tatami-mat-covered women's wear area, along with displays of handicrafts, books, and art collections.

Upon entering, a warm and inviting atmosphere envelops the visitor. As a private residence, Lemaire enlisted local architect Yuichi Hashimura to craft a modern yet refined interior while preserving the house's original features. These include the iconic brown glazed ceramic wall tiles at the entrance and a traditional Japanese garden in the backyard, complete with ancient pine trees, stone lanterns, and soft moss, providing a pleasant spot for rest and contemplation.
