: HK researchers have developed a vaccine for the virus, after isolating it from the city’s first case. But it would take months to test the vaccine on animals and at least another year to conduct clinical trials on humans before its use. <28 Jan.>

WHO: For patients with mild illness, hospitalization may not be required unless there is concern for rapid deterioration. All patients discharged home should be instructed to return to hospital if they develop any worsening of illness. <28 Jan.>

Lancet : The virus can be targeted by anti-polymerase drugs including Sofosbuvir and Ribavirin. Sequence analysis, modeling, and docking are used to build a model for 2019-nCoV RdRp. The results suggest the effectiveness of Sofosbuvir, IDX-184, and Ribavirin. <28 Jan.>
