41 耶稣快到耶路撒冷看见城，就为他哀哭，

Ashe approached Jerusalem and saw the city, he wept over it

42 说，巴不得你在这日子，知道关系你平安的事。无奈这事现在是隐藏的，叫你的眼看不出来。

andsaid, 'If you, even you, had only known on this day what would bring youpeace--but now it is hidden from your eyes.

43 因为日子将到，你的仇敌必筑起土垒，周围环绕你，四面困住你，

Thedays will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against youand encircle you and hem you in on every side.

44 并要扫灭你，和你里头的儿女，连一块石头也不留在石头上。因你不知道眷顾你的时候。

Theywill dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls. They willnot leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God'scoming to you.'

45 耶稣进了殿，赶出里头作买卖的人，

Thenhe entered the temple area and began driving out those who were selling.

46 对他们说，经上说，我的殿，必作祷告的殿。你们倒使它成为贼窝了。

'Itis written,' he said to them, '`My house will be a house of prayer' ; but youhave made it `a den of robbers.' '

47 耶稣天天在殿里教训人。祭司长，和文士，与百姓的尊长，都想要杀他。

Everyday he was teaching at the temple. But the chief priests, the teachers of thelaw and the leaders among the people were trying to kill him.

48 但寻不出法子来，因为百姓都侧耳听他。

Yetthey could not find any way to do it, because all the people hung on his words.
