王毅外长就构建中国—太平洋岛国命运共同体提出六点建议，即坚持相互尊重、坚持发展为先、坚持以人民为中心、坚持交流互鉴、坚持公平正义、坚持同舟共济。王毅外长强调，面对时代之变、历史之变，中方坚信和平、发展、合作、共赢是唯一正确选择，愿同各方携手构建中国—太平洋岛国命运共同体的新篇章。
Foreign Minister Wang Yi made a six-point proposal on building a China-PICs community with a shared future, namely rendering each other respect, putting development first and people at the center, pursuing exchanges and mutual learning, upholding fairness and justice, and strengthening mutual assistance. Foreign Minister Wang stressed that faced with profound changes of our times and of the historical trajectory, China believes that upholding peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit is the only right choice, and stands ready to work with all sides to open up a new chapter of building a China-PICs community with a shared future.
会议达成五方面共识。一是倡导平等相待，继续相互支持，维护好各自核心利益和重大关切。二是倡导共同发展，致力于将共建“一带一路”倡议同《蓝色太平洋2050战略》紧密对接，加强各领域互利合作。三是倡导公平公正，坚定维护多边主义，维护以世界贸易组织为核心的多边贸易体制，维护发展中国家正当权益。四是倡导开放包容，国际社会应支持岛国自主选择发展合作伙伴，在发展同岛国关系时将应对气候变化等最紧迫议题置于优先位置。五是倡导互学互鉴，继承弘扬传统友谊和情感纽带，增进相互了解和支持，共同促进人类社会文明进步。
Common understandings in five aspects have been reached during the meeting. First, we should uphold equal treatment, continue to render each other support and defend each other’s core interest and major concerns. Second, we should uphold common development, promote synergy between the Belt and Road Initiative and the 2050 Strategy for the Blue Pacific Continent and enhance mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields. Third, we should uphold fairness and justice, firmly defend multilateralism and the WTO-centered multilateral trading system, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of developing countries. Fourth, we should uphold openness and inclusiveness, the international community needs to support PICs in independently choosing development and cooperation partners, and the most urgent topics such as climate change need to be prioritized in the effort of developing relations with PICs. Fifth, we should uphold mutual learning, carry forward our traditional friendship and affinity, strengthen mutual understanding and support and jointly advance the civilization of human society.
外方感谢中方长期以来为岛国发展提供的宝贵支持，重申恪守一个中国原则，理解和支持中国维护国家主权和领土完整的正当权利。
Participating parties thanked China’s long-term precious support to the development of PICs and reaffirmed their commitment to the one-China principle as well as their understanding and support to China’s legitimate rights of defending national sovereignty and territorial integrity.
会议通过了联合声明。中方还发布了落实此次外长会共识的举措清单，包括《中国深化同太平洋岛国应对气候变化合作倡议》，承诺投入新的资金，扩大同岛国在可持续发展领域合作。
