Following announcement at the 9th International Tunicate Meeting in New York, we are pleased to inform you that the special issue on tunicate biology is now in preparation.

To this aim we are looking for proposals to publish papers, including reviews, research articles and technical reports.

We strongly encourage submissions covering a broad range of topics concerning research being conducted on tunicate development.

We anticipated that manuscripts will be submitted by March 30, 2018, reviewed by July 1, 2018, and all manuscripts finally accepted by October 1, 2018.

In order to evaluate the possible content of this special issue and better coordinate submissions to avoid redundancies as much as possible, we are requestingshort proposals(less than one page), indicating the authors' names, the type of paper (review, research article or technical report), a tentative title, a draft abstract, a list of keywords and/or any additional information that would help us determine how the intended paper will contribute to the special issue.
