In January 2019, he finally stepped into Shenzhen. The onset of COVID-19, however, brought unexpected challenges.
Stranded in France, he was separated from his partner in Shenzhen for three years while he worked at the Bank of China’s Paris branch, gaining valuable legal and compliance knowledge that would later fuel his entrepreneurial endeavors.
2019年1月,阿克宁终于踏上了深圳的土地。然而,新冠疫情的爆发带来了意想不到的挑战。期间,他滞留在法国,与身在深圳的伴侣分离长达三年。在巴黎中国银行任职期间,他潜心钻研法律合规领域,这段经历意外地为日后创业奠定了专业基石。
With his partner, he launched a business in 2023, acting as an intermediary between foreign companies and Chinese factories. In spring 2024, he returned to Shenzhen, ready to turn his dreams into reality.
Their venture focused on imports and exports, with a special emphasis on quality control and compliance with EU standards — a niche perfectly suited to his skills, as the Parisian is also endeavoring to become a lawyer.
2023年,Aknin与伴侣共同创办的贸易咨询公司终于在深圳落地生根。次年春日,他重返这片梦想的热土,开启了人生的新篇章。公司专注于为中欧企业搭建经贸桥梁,尤其擅长欧盟标准认证与质量控制——这恰恰发挥了他作为准律师的专业优势。
Over the past few years, Aknin’s company has gradually gained ground, helping partners find their own successes. “Our success is really linked with our partners’ success.” he said.
For instance, his company has helped a weather station go from developing a prototype from scratch to upgrading it to a new version. They signed significant contracts in the health and environmental industries, achievements that he finds meaningful.
“我们与合作伙伴是共生共荣的关系。”Aknin如是说。在他的带领下,公司不仅帮助气象站完成从零到一的产品研发,更在健康环保领域拿下了多个重要项目。每当谈起这些成绩,这位法国创业者的自豪之情溢于言表。
Nevertheless, Aknin admitted that there was a set of challenges that he would need to navigate. One of the primary hurdles the Parisian faced was the significant knowledge gap between foreign companies and the Chinese market and how to effectively communicate the vast opportunities in China to clients, higher-level managers, CEOs, and executives back in France.
