When I talk about marriage with parents, they always think a girl should marry someone who lives not far away, but hardly consider what their daughter thinks. Sometimes I really cannot bear them, and instantly we would break into a quarrel. Though a boy, I stand by my sister.

When I told my parents I didn't want to get married, they thought I was crazy. They insist that everyone should get married at a certain age, and I'm too old to them (I'm just 30).

My parents couldn't understand why I quit my job to further my study. They thought girls should get married and have babies as early as possible. I rebelled however, because I am the master of my own life. Even if my decisions turn out to be wrong, I won't regret. Parents and children should learn to respect and understand each other. They can offer advice, but not decisions.
