skips this approach but details the mother's fluffy silver hairs. They strike a sharp contrast with the wrinkles on her forehead, her shabby clothes and particularly her dark, rough hands. These vivid details indicate the hardships a woman has experienced throughout her life.

Silk Worms of Spring
is now on show till tomorrow at the preview exhibition of China Guardian Auctions' upcoming sales, at Beijing International Hotel.
这幅《春蚕》此刻正在中国嘉德拍卖位于北京国际饭店的春拍预展上展出，一直到明天。
Some of you may ask, why would I go to an auction preview, since I would not buy or could not afford any of the works on display?
也许你们会问，“为什么要去看一个拍卖预展呢？我又不买且作品也很贵。”
Neither do I. :) Still, I enjoy going to an auction preview because, it's free of charge, it's open to the public, you can see different types of artworks of different times, and many are of museum quality.
我也是个单纯的看客，但我还是喜欢去看拍卖预展，因为它免费，对公众开放，能同时看到不同时期、不同类型的艺术品（油画、中国书画、雕塑、古董等），而且不少达到了博物馆收藏级别。
People go to a preview also because they want to learn things about art and traditional Chinese culture. More importantly, once these works enter private collections, they can hardly be seen before they go under the hammer next time.
不少人去看预展还因为可以学习到关于艺术和中国传统文化的知识。更重要的是，一旦这些作品进入私人收藏，大众就很难再看到了，直到它们再一次被拿出来拍卖。
