金立群指出，亚投行高度重视非洲发展，在成立的第二年即投资了埃及太阳能发电项目，这是亚投行的第一个域外投资项目。
Jin said the bank will continue to support African members in improving infrastructure connectivity, and transforming and upgrading their economies through sustainable infrastructure investments, including through partnership with Belt and Road Initiative. Such joint efforts will help African countries achieve broad-based economic and social development, he added.
亚投行会努力更好地利用自身资源，将通过积极支持“一带一路”建设，帮助非洲国家改善互联互通，优化经济结构，特别是支持绿色基础设施项目，以提升非洲国家在全球价值链的地位，促进经济的可持续发展。

高大伟首先指出，全球人口发展经历大变迁，颠覆性技术层出不穷，社会权力结构去中心化，地缘政治出现新情况，构成了当今世界复杂境况：
