41 耶稣对他们说，人怎么说基督是大卫的子孙呢？

ThenJesus said to them, 'How is it that they say the Christ is the Son of David?

42 诗篇上，大卫自己说，主对我主说，你坐在我的右边，

Davidhimself declares in the Book of Psalms: '`The Lord said to my Lord: 'Sit at myright hand

43 等我使你仇敌作你的脚凳。

untilI make your enemies a footstool for your feet.''

44 大卫既称他为主，他怎么又是大卫的子孙呢？

Davidcalls him `Lord.' How then can he be his son?'

45 众百姓听的时候，耶稣对门徒说，

Whileall the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples,

46 你们要防备文士。他们好穿长衣游行，喜爱人在街市上问他们安，又喜爱会堂里的高位，筵席上的首座。

'Bewareof the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in flowing robes and loveto be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most important seats in thesynagogues and the places of honor at banquets.

47 他们侵吞寡妇的家产，假意作很长的祷告。这些人要受更重的刑罚。

Theydevour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men will bepunished most severely.'
