4 耶稣对他说，你切不可告诉人。 只要去把身体给祭司察看，献上摩西所吩咐的礼物，对众人作证据。

Then Jesus said to him, "See that you don't tell anyone. But go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

5 耶稣进了迦百农，有一个百夫长进前来，求他说，

When Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking for help.

6 主阿，我的仆人害瘫痪病，躺在家里，甚是疼苦。

"Lord," he said, "my servant lies at home paralyzed and in terrible suffering."

7 耶稣说，我去医治他。

Jesus said to him, "I will go and heal him."

8 百夫长回答说，主阿，你到我舍下，我不敢当。 只要你说一句话，我的仆人就必好了。

The centurion replied, "Lord, I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

9 因为我在人的权下，也有兵在我以下。 对这个说，去，他就去。 对那个说，来，他就来。 对我的仆人说，你作这事，他就去作。

For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and that one, 'Come,' and he comes. I say to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

10 耶稣听见就希奇，对跟从的人说，我实在告诉你们，这么大的信心，就是在以色列中，我也没有遇见过。

When Jesus heard this, he was astonished and said to those following him, "I tell you the truth, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.

11 我又告诉你们，从东从西，将有许多人来，在天国里与亚伯拉罕，以撒，雅各，一同坐席。

I say to you that many will come from the east and the west, and will take their places at the feast with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven.

12 惟有本国的子民，竟被赶到外边黑暗里去。 在那里必要哀哭切齿了。

But the subjects of the kingdom will be thrown outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

13 耶稣对百夫长说，你回去吧。 照你的信心，给你成全了。 那时，他的仆人就好了。

Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go! It will be done just as you believed it would." And his servant was healed at that very hour.

文字解释

给祭司察看（4节） ：在当时，大麻风病患是否得痊愈，要由祭司带到营外检查并判断（利14:1~3)。

摩西所吩咐的礼物（4节） ：患大麻风得痊愈者，必须按照律法献赎愆祭、赎罪祭、燔祭和素祭后，才能重回社会（利14:4~32)。
